I do not know why the country is losing honest people. Where did we go wrong? And why is everything the way it is? Should we say that God is angry with us or we should blame it on our selfish interests that have made us fail to view life in the right direction! Any ways this demand for the 200 million for cars by the members of parliament torments me and it makes me wonder if humanity still exists or we actually have monsters that are disguising as humans.

Seriously, the situation in Uganda regarding the poor roads, schools, hospitals does not call for a demand for such an amount that could help out in these areas. And by the way are they going to be buried with these cars? I think the element of patriotism should be revisited in order for such selfishness to disappear. If these MPs loved their country they would be looking for a way to cut costs in order to develop this nation.

These are the same people that are demanding for a proper burial of 68 million as if their bodies are shall never rot. Do they even deserve a decent burial after the tragedy they have caused to our country? I mean this is outrageous!   All members of parliament are not different including those in opposition. They pretend to be against the ruling party during the day yet they receive brown envelops in dark corners. All that is written on their hearts is corruption. They speak, laugh and shout corruption.

If these MPs could only agitate for poverty reduction, helping the orphans and the disabled we would listen but this business of satisfying their stomachs cannot be tolerated. They should know that their role is to bring services nearer to the people who voted for them and raise issues affecting them.  Journalism students like me whose course is so practical are lacking enough equipment such as cameras to practice journalism and MPs are comfortably shouting out loud for 200 million?

The biggest hospital Mulago lacks drugs, we have no cancer machine meaning people are dying every day because of such poor services, and our “dear” MPs are in need of 200 million. How sympathetic they are! They should re visit their thinking and organize their brains before they propose demand for certain things. Ugandans deserve better.
